Artelac Nighttime Gel Dosage/Direction for Use

How often should the patient use Artelac Nighttime Gel: Treatment for dry eye conditions requires an individual regimen according to the severity and intensity of the symptoms. Instill one drop of Artelac Nighttime Gel into the eye 15 min before going to bed; and, if the patient prefers a gel product, 3 to 5 drops can be used daily.
If the patient uses Artelac Nighttime Gel during the day, wait until the vision clears before using machinery or driving.
This is how the patient should use Artelac Nighttime Gel: 1. Remove the protective cap from the tip of the bottle before each use. Make sure that the tip of the bottle does not touch the fingers.
2. Lean the head back slightly and pull the lower eyelid down slightly with a finger of the free hand and hold the tube vertically above the eye with the nozzle pointing downwards. Then gently squeeze the bottle to apply one drop.
Avoid contact of the tip of the bottle with the eye or the fingers to prevent any possible contamination of the solution.
3. Replace the cap on the bottle after each use.
Close the eye afterwards and slowly move it back and forth and then blink the eyes in order to optimally spread the drop on the surface of the eye.
